She was the wife of William Peter Montgomery. William Peter and Martha had 10 children: John Thomas, Robert E. Lee, Anna Laura, William Edward, Marcy C., Samuel Howard, Lilly, Charles Hampton, Frances B. and Sarah Isabelle. Martha is buried in St. Dominic Cemetery.
