Aged 98 Years
Mr. Pat Lyddane, who was the oldest man in the county, died Tuesday night at the home of his grandson, Mr. Ed Kelley, in the Valley Hill neighborhood. Mr. Lyddane was past 98 years of age and had been a citizen of the county nearly all of his life. He had been a good and useful citizen until the last few years when he was enfeebled by age. He is survived by one son, Mr. Ade Lyddane, and quite a number of grandchildren. The funeral will take place at St. Rose this morning.
Mary M., wife of Patrick Lyddane, March 18, 1820 – November 5, 1889 – St. Rose Church Cemetery, Washington County, Kentucky

Is Patrick Lyddane any relation to John Lyddane b abt 1807 and Hannah Whelan and their son Peter Lyddane b abt 1827 and Elizabeth Jarboe all of Washington Co.KY. Thanks in advance. Dottie Porter Himes
I’m not sure, but it sounds as if he could be John Lyddane’s brother or cousin. I’ll see what I can find.
